ANTIPARASITIC
PROPERTIES
iver 3.15 R contains long-acting and broad spectrum 3.15% Ivermectin for the treatment of internal and external parasites in bovines.
Ivermectin is an antiparasitic found within the avermectin family, a product of the natural fermentation of Streptomyces avermectilis. Its mechanism of action involves gamma amino butyric acid (GABA), which is a neurotransmitter in parasites. In nematodes, Ivermectin stimulates the release of GABA in the nerve endings and favors the union of GABA with its specific receptors in the nerve junctions, thus blocking the nerve impulses, which paralyzes and causes the death to the parasite.
